We hope that this page will give you some serving ideas for home made gourmet cherry ice cream. Remember presentation is just as important as flavor.

Chunky Cherry Ice Cream

You can top your ice cream with chocolate chunks, roasted nuts, cherry chunks and whipped cream. This will bring out the flavor of the rich ice cream. A sprig of mint will also add elegance to your dessert.

Melted Hershey Bar Chocolate Topping

This is the Chocolate lovers favorite way to top ice cream. It is a melted Hershey Chocolate Bar. All you do is break one up and place it in the microwave. It will take around 3 minutes for it to melt. Make sure you stop it at least every 30 seconds to stir it, otherwise it will burn. Then dip a whisk into the melted chocolate and drizzle it over the ice cream and then wait for it to harden. It should not take over 10 seconds for it to harden to the ice cream. In the picture to the left we topped our ice cream with pieces of roasted nuts before making the hard crack topping.

Roasted Coconut Topping

Roasted Coconut is simply coconut that has been in the microwave for a few minutes. You will want to watch it carefully and stir it every 20 seconds to prevent it from burning. We also added roasted nuts in between the scoops of ice cream. If you need help visit our how to roast pecans page.
