We have added this page to our web site to share some of our favorite serving ideas for serving gourmet strawberry ice cream. We want to give you some of our ideas so that next time you think of ice cream that thought will not be a picture of a cereal bowl with a half melted scoop of ice cream. Remember presentation is just as important as flavor.

Strawberry ice cream's best topping, in my opinion, is roasted coconut. It adds flavor, texture and style. A sprig of mint  also contributes to the class and color of your ice cream. If you have never roasted coconut before all you have to do is put the shredded coconut on a paper plate in the microwave for a few minutes. Keep a close eye on it and stir it every 20 seconds to keep it from burning. Once it cools it should be light brown and crunchy!

Don't be afraid to experiment with different ice cream serving dishes. Try to get away from plain cereal bowls, you will be glad you did. Any tall glass usually makes a good serving dish for ice cream. Whole strawberries make an excellent topping, as does whipped cream.

Strawberry Ice Cream with White Chocolate

Sick of Chocolate syrup? Well try white chocolate. Melt it in the microwave and then using a wire whisk drizzle it back and forth over the ice cream. The result it a hard white chocolate shell on the out side of your dessert.

If you want something unique you can try chocolate chunks and fresh strawberries with roasted nuts. If you don't know how to roast nuts all it is is zapping them in the microwave for a minute, as explained on our roasting walnuts page.
