Third Step: Buttermilk

Now add 1 1/4 cups of buttermilk. Mix this together using the pastry cutter. It is very important not to over-mix your biscuit dough. By doing this your biscuits will become hard.

Forth Step: Biscuit Dough

During this next step it is very important NOT TO OVERWORK THE BISCUIT DOUGH. This will cause your biscuits to be hard, just as I stated above.

Now form the biscuit dough into a ball. Lift it out of the bowl and place it on a very floured cutting board. Roll the biscuit dough out using a floured rolling pin. It should be about 3/4 of an inch thick.

Fifth Step: Cutting Biscuits

Next, using the biscuit cutter shape the biscuits. It is always important to cut the biscuits out around the edge and then move towards the middle. This way you use as much of the dough as possible. Use the left over scraps to form the last biscuit.

Sixth Step: Baking Biscuits

Spray a cookie Sheet thoroughly with cooking spray. If you have no cooking spray use more Crisco. Apply either of these heavily. Next, place the biscuits on the cookie sheet about 1/4 an inch apart. Then let them cook in the oven for 15 minutes.
