Kettle (or a Large Saucepan)
Measuring Cups
Measuring Spoons
Chopping Knife
Can Opener
Cutting Board
Stirring Spoon
Paper Towels |
|

Onion |
First Step: Onion
Ok, Lets
get started. First take 1 onion and dice it into small pieces. Then
place this into your kettle, or large saucepan. |
|

Beef |
Second Step: Beef
Secondly
turn your stove burner to medium high. Then add 2 lbs of ground
beef. Begin to slowly stir in order to prevent burning. Allow the beef
and onions to cook until thoroughly brown. There should be absolutely no
pink tinge to the meet once cooked. Once the meat is cooked turn the
stove off. |

Removing Grease |
Third Step: Paper towels
DON'T
SKIP THIS STEP
Now stack
six paper towels on top of eachother and then pour all the contents of
the kettle out and onto the paper towels. Using four more paper towels
begin to press on the meat to removing liquid. Once you have compleated
this REPEAT IT ONCE MORE!!!!
Why is
this so important?
Well,
because you are removing the grease . I want you to look at that paper
towel to the left and ask yourself if you feel good letting your body
have that much grease. Remember that is just the first paper towels and
only about 1/2 of how much grease you are really removing. Grease is fat
and fat makes Clots, Clots, Clots. Sometimes fat tastes good in recipes,
but believe me you will have the yuckiest looking and tasting stew if
you leave it in this recipe. |
